2017-2018 National LifeChanger of the Year Award

  • Congratulations Ms. Hudson!!!

February 20th, 2018 – Louisville, GA – Jefferson County High School special education department chair Phrashunda Hudson has been nominated for the 2017-2018 national LifeChanger of the Year award. Sponsored by the National Life Group Foundation, LifeChanger of the Year recognizes and rewards the very best K-12 educators and school district employees across the United States who are making a difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence and leadership. Hudson was nominated by an anonymous member of her community. This year, she created work experiences and helped students open bank accounts, get ID cards, and prepare for life after graduation. "Ms. Hudson is an educator who runs her class like a family. She takes the time to listen to people and ask them how they are doing,” said her nominator. “The moment we step in the building, we become family, and she will do anything to help us.”

    Future Signing Day Events Updates

In order to be part of a JCHS Athletic Signing Day, a student athlete must receive 80% of tuition in scholarship.  At least 50% of this scholarship must come in the form of an athletic scholarship.

Example:  Cost of attendance is $20,000 per year.  The scholarship would have to equal $16,000 and $8000 of that would need to come from an athletic scholarship.

We will host three official signing days from this point on:

Fall Signing Day - last Wednesday of November

National Signing Day (football only) -1st Wednesday in February

Spring Signing Day - last Wednesday of April
